STORY
Alyssa (she/her) was born and raised in North Carolina and developed her love of makeup at an early age. From sneaking and applying her mom's mascara to collecting countless bottles of nail polish and inviting her cousins to visit her make believe nail studio. As soon as she was off to college she began learning more about makeup application and practicing on her friends who were brave enough to give her a chance.
In 2012 Alyssa began her career and shortly after began working part time at Sephora. After working at Sephora for many seasons Alyssa decided to take her passion for artistry to the next level and launched Makeup by Alyssa in 2014. Makeup by Alyssa steadily increased in business via word of mouth and social media as Alyssa continued to juggle both her career and her entrepreneurial endeavors. Throughout the years, Alyssa has continued to hone her craft, learning under celebrity makeup artists Tatiana Ward and Renny Vasquez. Alyssa is a firm believer in using makeup to enhance your most beautiful features to help you look like your most beautiful self. She loves making her clients feel beautiful inside and out. She's passionate about makeup artistry but even more passionate about helping people build confidence.
